We would like to thank everyone that played a part in the 2018-2019 PTA Board. We appreciate the countless volunteer hours that were put in to ensure a fun experience for our kids and staff at Hillcrest Elementary.

PAST OFFICERS
Hillcrest Elementary PTA Officers
The Washington State PTA bylaws and the Hillcrest Elementary PTA standing rules state that the Executive Team (elected officers, also known as Board of Directors) of PTA shall consist of a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Two or more people may hold any elected position jointly, and each position is elected by the general membership.
Hillcrest’s 2021-2022 PTA Board of Directors has several co-positions, so that means you’ll be seeing a lot of new faces this year. The majority of our officers are completely new to PTA and are very excited to get out and meet the Hillcrest community. If you spot any of our PTA officers out and about, don’t be afraid to say hi.
Below we have added a brief bio of the new team so that you can meet everyone. We have even created a PTA Officer Role page that explains each position - just in case you ever wondered what we do, or if you are interested in volunteering for one of the positions in the future.
KIM BASLER
President
Hello! My name is Kim Basler and I am your 2021-22 Hillcrest President. My husband and I have been married for 10 years and we have two sons. Colt (8yrs) is in 3rd grade for the 2021-22 school year and Hunter (6yrs) is in 1st grade for the 2021-2022 school year. My Husband Kyle works at Amazon and I currently am taking on the role of CEO for the Basler Household :) In our “free” time we enjoy working out, camping and traveling to either Alaska or Hawaii. I am looking forward to helping create an environment where collaboration, creativity and excitement are top priority!

Hello, my name is Bailee Larson, your new 2021-2022 PTA Vice President. I have two awesome children, Oliver who is a 5rd grader here at Hillcrest and a feisty 5 year old named Apollo, who will start kindergarten next fall. My husband Brian and I have been married for 6 years and live in Lake Stevens with our sons and adopted greyhound, Lollipop. My husband is an engineer for Boeing and I work part time for a local roofing company. I enjoy crafting, camping with my family and eating out at new fun restaurants. I am so excited to be more involved in the PTA this year and can’t wait to grow our membership and work with the other amazing women who volunteer their time to Hillcrest. Go Hillcrest Hawks!
TAMMY KIM

Hi my name is Tammy and I am your 2021-2022 Hillcrest PTA Secretary. I have a 9 year old
daughter (Emma) and a 5 year old son (Cameron) who both attend Hillcrest Elementary. I met my husband, Tom, 15 years ago while we were both living in Hawaii and finally decided to move to Lake Stevens in 2018. I grew up in British Columbia and have been a Registered Nurse for half my life. I enjoy being outdoors, traveling and spending time with family, friends and my senior dog, Allie. I also love bingewatching Netflix when I get carried away with a series. Now that my youngest is in kindergarten, I'm excited to volunteer more at their school and grow with the Hillcrest community. I hope I can make a positive impact on the PTA and commit to achieving this goal.
SARAH BUTCHER

Hello! My name is Sarah & I am your 2021/2022 Hillcrest PTA treasurer. I have 3 daughters, Mia who is in 5th grade, Emma who is in kindergarten, & Stella who is 2 years old & will be a Hillcrest Hawk in no time just like her big sisters! I was born and raised in Olympia WA and work as a Pharmacy Technician. My husband who was born and raised in Everett WA works for a local construction company as a General Forman! We have lived in Lake Stevens for about 8 years now & we absolutely love the community here! My family loves anything & everything outdoors and enjoys watching and participating in all sports! I am excited to have the opportunity to be involved in this year’s PTA & look forward to helping teachers, students, and families have a great & successful school year!
